This is 'not only hostel' - they offer 'like 3-star' rooms and even apartments. With a very attractive prices. Environment is minimalistic but I liked it. Significant part of staff speak Russian and Ukrainian but people around are pretty international. Hotel administration is very flexible. Had a 2 bookings connected because of the changing group size. They managed to arrange 'connected' experience practically upgrading booking for free. And I have reports of similar actions from other friends. Breakfasts are pretty decent. For 160 CZK they offer buffet (not bad) but for a bit more (220 CZK) you can receive it with hot meal selected from the short list. For 2 nights I really liked this approach. Add to this that they have pretty fair bar prices and offer good quality tea. Location is nice. Traditional tourists sites and train station are in walking distance but giving the public transportation system transparency I bought 72h universal ticket for 330 CZK - tram and metro stations are below 5 mins walking. Overall impression from me as a 2-3 persons hotel room booker - hidden gem, especially if you prefer practicality and minimalism. Cannot say anything about dormatory experience here.

This hostel is located in Prague 2 - within 10 minute walk from the the busiest, touristy part of Prague, yet in a somewhat less noisy location. The dorms have decent bunk beds that are, luckily, not as crammed into a few square meters of space as in so many other hostels in Prague, allowing for the fresher air. The bathrooms/ shower rooms are newly renovated, clean and without the smell of mould, unlike in many other similar hostels. There is also a spacious lounge/bar with food and drinks on offer throughout the day. Convenient to sit down and do work on your laptop. The breakfast was good value for money - ham, cheese, greens, cereals and coffee - all a person needs in the morning before heading out to explore the city. Overall Sophie's Hostel offers fairly good value for money.

The place is cleaned top to bottom every day. Staff is really friendly and professional. 24/7 reception is always a plus. Beds were comfy, and the sheets were clean. 2 or 3 5-bed rooms shared one bathroom, but I literally never had trouble going to shower or whatever. The timed light in the bathroom was a bit odd, but there's a small light next to the mirror so that's okay. Location is excellent, literally anything you might need is a short walk away, as is the Old Town, and other attractions. This was my first solo stay in a hostel, so I had some concerns regarding sleeping with strangers, but everything was tip top. All in all I'm very satisfied with everything, if I'm ever back to Prague I'm coming back here.

We chose a large room with kitchenette as we were a family of 4, staying for 6 days. There was plenty of space for everyone! The brunch options were excellent, and expertly prepared. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and kind. The facilities were spotless, and the breakfast area was cleaned regularly. We felt we got a great value for the price. The location of this hostel is perfect from the standpoint it is very convenient to all modes of public transportation, and also in easy walking distance of several key areas in the historic district. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.

It was pretty clean. Room was spacious. There were boxes underneath the beds to put away your stuffs and you can use your lock to close it, that is very nice. There is also a space were you can leave your bags after checkouts if you leave the city later. There are big boxed where you can place you bag and lock it with your own lock. This seemed very safe. I don't remember the name of the staff member who received me (Nahir or Zahir). He was very kind and nice.
